My name is Bukela Campbell also known as Bela.
I’m a freelance motion designer, art director and illustrator currently based in Frankfurt, Germany. I work collaboratively — and often remotely — with advertising agencies, design studios, directors and various other clients.
I studied Media Design in the University of Applied Science in Nuremberg, where I fell in love with animation. My internship at ARRI showed me where to go. Before graduating I word at Das Werk Novalisstrasse in Berlin for a big project a couple of months as a motion designer, compositor, 3D artist. After graduating in Nuremberg I packed my stuff and moved to Frankfurt and started working as an Art Director at die manufaktur in 2007.

Drawing, painting, my camera and learning new things is part of my life and gives me always new impulses. After lots of great learnings through different projects I've started freelancing in 2010 and since then I've been incredibly lucky to have worked on bin and fun projects as well as interesting small animations. From 2015 to 2022 I did part-time lecturing for motion design and animation at the University of Applied Science for Media Design in Nuremberg.

Currently represented by MAP Berlin as an art director, designer, animator and illustrator.
